Dr Korapadi Alagarswami

Profile
Dr Korapadi Alagarswami graduated from Madras University in 1985 following which he went to Ireland to train to be a surgeon. He was admitted to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1985 following which he sub-specialised in Paediatric surgery.
Dr Alagarswami completed his vocational training in general practice with the Trent Deanery in Nottingham, UK and was admitted to the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2007.
Dr Alagarswami moved to Traralgon from the UK along with his wife Kiruba and daughter Shambavi in January 2008 and has been working at the Breed Street Clinic since then. He was admitted to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2008.
Dr Alagarswami is a main stream general practitioner with a special interest in travel medicine – and is the designated “Travel Doctor”, skin cancer checks and minor surgery. He has also completed training with the British Acupuncture Society and does dry needling.
Dr Alagarswami also has an interest in teaching and supervises GP Registrar training. He also takes part in teaching/training medical students and interns.
