Dr Roger Fitzgerald

Dr Fitzgerald is a family doctor with decades of experience and a commitment to the health care needs of Gippsland residents.

Dr Fitzgerald was born in the small South Gippsland town of Dumbalk and attended Leongatha High School before studying medicine at Melbourne University.

He has worked at St Vincent’s Hospital, the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital.

His career, spanning nearly four decades, includes the study of anaesthetics and obstetrics in the UK.

In 1983 he returned to Gippsland to practice at the Deakin Medical Clinic, the forerunner to the Breed Street Clinic.

Dr Fitzgerald practices family medicine and obstetric care.

He also regularly attends the Margery Cole Nursing Home in Traralgon.
